The horse trek in Mongolia was magnificent ! The countryside is sparsely populated and beautiful beyond words. The horseback riding was fantastic. In fact, my husband and I had such a wonderful time that we both purchased horses. Mine is Sony, a beautiful, intelligent guy. The people were equally fantastic. Their knowledge of the land and of the animals is outstanding. The food was delicious and the visits to the gers amazing. I can't think of anything else I've done that can compare and, in fact, we have already scheduled in a return visit next summer for two-weeks of horse trekking as one week just wasn't long enough.

An unforgettable week filled with many happy memories - the vast openness of the steppe coloured with a great profusion of alpine flowers, eagles gliding high over head in endless skies, the relaxed temperament of our horses and the excitement of an occasional race.
The friendly atmosphere of the evening camp fire shared with our guides who, with the traditional hospitality of nomads, gave us a rare insight into their culture and way of life. All this and much more made the trek a wonderful enriching experience.
